Having a blog should be to marketers, way more than just a place to post some thoughts and share a few ideas. A blog it's a sphere of potential interaction with not just any audience, but with one that actually cares enough about what you write, that keep coming back to read it.

Off course that the one million dollar question is - How can I drive traffic to my blog, so that I can slowly start building my audience?

Some experts will quickly answer that content is king, and if you write good articles or your posts are issues that matters to a lot of people, you will succeed. Although this is partial true, alone it's not enough and my vision of this strategy, its pretty much the same that putting your blog on a desert Island - meaning, HOW DO I REACH YOU?

That said, it's only natural that you make an effort to be "heard", and develop a strategy to it. Think about the Internet like a big world, where links are the essential path to go somewhere. If i'm travelling and there is no indication that points out the way, how can i go to where I want? You can't, unless the blogger leave you some pointers spreaded along the way/web, and more precisely, where his potential readers are. Bulding this "bridges" to your blog is one of the most effective ways you have to drive traffic.
